How the city pages help you plan
A Kashmir trip looks different depending on where you start. From Delhi it is a flight of about an hour and a half and a long weekend can work; from Kerala or Tamil Nadu it is a longer journey, and six or seven nights make more sense. Each city page explains the usual routes to Srinagar, when travellers from that city tend to go, the questions we hear most about food, language and group needs, and a plan that fits typical leave. They are written for the traveller, not for a search engine, and each is different because each journey is.
What changes by city
Flight times and fares, the best months, the holidays that decide when people travel, the food families ask for and the size of the group all change with the city. Delhi travellers often want a short, polished break; Mumbai and Pune families want a settled plan with good food; Kolkata travellers tend to come at Puja and like a slow pace; Gujarat families travel in large groups at Diwali and ask for vegetarian and Jain meals; Kerala and Tamil Nadu travellers take a longer break and enjoy the comparison between Dal Lake and the backwaters. Read your city's page for the detail.
Packages, prices and what to expect
Every city page points to the packages that fit that trip, with the lowest price from each package's own table, per person for two travellers sharing, from Srinagar. Prices fall for larger groups and change with the season and the hotel tier, and flights are paid separately. We confirm the final amount in writing before you pay, and tell you what is included and what you pay on the spot, such as the gondola tickets and ponies. Our full package list shows every plan.
