What makes a couples trip different from a standard tour?
The route is the same as our other packages. What changes is the pacing and the extras. We start days later, keep one main outing a day, leave evenings free and place a houseboat night where you want it, all in a private vehicle for the two of you. How should a couple plan a day?
A day that works is a slow breakfast, one main outing, a long lunch, an hour of nothing, and then a sunset shikara or dinner on the boat. Avoid Sonmarg in the morning and a full city tour in the afternoon. We put the longer drives on days with a free evening. By our itineraries Gulmarg is about 1.5 hours from Srinagar, Pahalgam about 2 hours and Sonmarg about 3 hours, and traffic or weather adds to that.
