Is there a direct flight from Jaipur to Srinagar?

No. Kayak says there are currently no direct flights between Jaipur and Srinagar (checked 25 October 2026), and Wikipedia's airline list for Srinagar Airport names no city in Rajasthan. In Kayak's data for this route, 63% of the users who booked one-stop return journeys over the past 3 months connected via Delhi.

Kayak's search form shows 1 adult, so we read these as one traveller's fare. Fares change; TDI's packages list airfare as not included.

Which trains run from Jaipur towards Kashmir?

The Pooja Superfast Express (Wikipedia gives its numbers as 12413 / 12414) is one train that runs through Jaipur to Jammu Tawi. Wikipedia describes it as a daily train from Ajmer Junction to Jammu Tawi and lists a ten-minute halt at Jaipur, and Travelkhana lists train 12413 as leaving from Ajmer junction; times differ by source, so read the live schedule on IRCTC. It is not the only one: ConfirmTkt lists 14661 Shalimar Malani, Barmer to Jammu Tawi, calling at Jodhpur Jn from 03:25 to 03:35 and at Jaipur from 09:25 to 09:35, and ending at Jammu Tawi at 05:40.

That is about 15 to 16 hours from Jaipur (our arithmetic: 16:10 to 07:30, or to 08:20). For the Srinagar leg, our Vaishno Devi and Kashmir page reproduces the Vande Bharat timings IANS announced when the service was extended to Jammu Tawi: two departures from Jammu Tawi, 26401 at 06:20 and 26403 at 13:20. The first leaves before the Pooja Express is listed to arrive; the second is listed to reach Srinagar at 18:00, though IANS lists it as off on Wednesdays and the Kashmir Observer reports no Tuesday service, so confirm your date on IRCTC. The alternative is a Jammu to Srinagar taxi.

Through Delhi by rail, ConfirmTkt lists Vande Bharat 22439 from New Delhi to Katra on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, leaving at 06:00 and calling at Jammu Tawi at 12:43, so (our inference) you would need to be in Delhi before 06:00, which for most travellers means reaching Delhi the evening before.

Can you drive from Rajasthan to Kashmir, and are there buses?

The two Jaipur to Srinagar figures come from different route planners and differ, so read them as a range. The district administration (page updated 16 March 2026) says NH-44 can be affected by landslides or snowfall, particularly in winter, and tells drivers to check Traffic Police J&K advisories before travel. Its bus text says private operators run Volvo and sleeper buses on the Delhi-Jammu-Srinagar route and from other major cities in North India, without naming Jaipur. Can you add Vaishno Devi to a Kashmir trip from Rajasthan?

Yes. Katra is the base for the yatra and a halt on some Srinagar Vande Bharat trains, and we suggest Katra first and Kashmir second, as our Kashmir and Vaishno Devi page sets out. The Shrine Board, not TDI, runs yatra registration and helicopter tickets (see our helicopter booking guide); our Katra rooms service covers a room. What does a Kashmir package from Rajasthan cost?

TDI's overview page says packages start from ₹8,550 per person for a 3-night trip. The package pages print the tables below, per person on twin sharing with the standard hotel category. Airfare, lunch and Gulmarg gondola tickets are not included.

A worked example, our arithmetic: two travellers on the 4N/5D Classic pay 2 × ₹13,800 = ₹27,600 for Kashmir. Kayak's twelve-month Jaipur return range of ₹13,301 to ₹17,875 comes to ₹26,602 to ₹35,750 for two, so on those twelve-month figures the total is ₹54,202 to ₹63,350, before lunches, gondola tickets or any Katra nights. Kayak's page also says one-way fares from Jaipur to Srinagar are currently higher than usual (checked 25 October 2026), at about ₹15,144 on average, so check the live fare.

How many days do you need from Rajasthan?

Count the journey inside the trip. Our arithmetic from the times above:

• Flying with a stopover: Kayak gives 4h 16m as the shortest average total travel time with one stop, via Jewar Noida Intl (DXN), against 6h 07m via Delhi, so treat the day you leave as travel and arrival.
• Pooja Express: Wikipedia lists a 16:10 departure from Jaipur and Jammu Tawi the next morning (7:30 or 8:20, sources differ). The 13:20 Vande Bharat is listed in Srinagar at 18:00 (IANS lists it as off on Wednesdays; confirm your date on IRCTC), so Kashmir day one would start that evening. TDI's 3N/4D page puts the Mughal Gardens and a shikara ride after check-in on its first day, so ask TDI how an evening arrival changes day one.
• By road: the two sources give 14 hours 22 minutes and 18 hours 50 minutes for Jaipur to Srinagar, so plan a two-day leg each way.

When should you leave Rajasthan for Kashmir?

Wikipedia's 1991–2020 climate tables put Jaipur's mean daily maximum at 41.1 °C in May and 39.7 °C in June, against 24.7 °C and 28.5 °C in Srinagar.
