How do you fly from Doha, Muscat, Kuwait City or Manama to Srinagar?

Skyscanner reports no airline flying direct from any of the four to Srinagar. On the pages we could read, fares are printed in pounds sterling, so convert at the rate of the day. These are the lowest figures the site found, not typical fares, and its booking tip is around 40 days ahead.

Can passport holders from Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain use the Indian e-Visa?

The official portal's eligibility list includes Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. For the e-Tourist visa it offers a one-month version (30 days), a one-year version (365 days) and a five-year version, and foreigners and OCI card holders may fill in the e-Arrival card on the portal during the 72 hours before they arrive. Rules and fees change, so look up the fee, how long processing takes and the document checklist on the portal when you apply, and apply only there. If you live in the Gulf on another passport, look up your own nationality on the list.

What do other governments advise about Jammu and Kashmir?

Read this before you book. Britain's Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office keeps an India page, read on the check date (checked 4 November 2026): its advice is against any visit to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, and it lists Pahalgam, Gulmarg and Sonamarg, Srinagar city and the Jammu-Srinagar national highway. Canada's page gives the same instruction, avoid all travel, and cites the unpredictable security situation. We quote no advisory from the four Gulf governments; read your own ministry's guidance instead. When should you leave the Gulf?

Doha's summer is the contrast on offer. Wikipedia's Doha normals give the average daily maximum below, against Srinagar's; Muscat, Kuwait City and Manama have their own figures, which we did not tabulate. Wikipedia gives 9 to 11 March 2027 for Eid al-Fitr, and notes that the date can vary with moon sighting, so confirm it before you buy tickets. No dependable school calendar for the four countries could be found for next year; use your own school's dates.

Doha runs far hotter than Srinagar through June, July and August in the table, and in December Srinagar is much colder. March is early spring in Kashmir, so read Kashmir in March, Kashmir in June and Kashmir in December, and use the packing list.

What does a Kashmir trip cost for travellers from the Gulf?

Think of the TDI land package as the Shikara ride, deluxe room nights, taxes, two meals each day (breakfast and dinner), plus private-vehicle transfers covering the Srinagar airport pickup and drop. Flights, lunches and entry tickets sit outside it. All TDI amounts are rupees per person and no Gulf currency conversion is made, so apply the day's rate when you pay; flights are priced apart for the same reason.

How many days do you need from the Gulf?

A Gulf traveller should treat the 4N/5D Classic, which visits Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg and Pahalgam, as the minimum, because the first and last days are mostly flying. The 5N/6D Explorer adds a closing houseboat night, the 5N/6D Gulmarg Stay a night in the meadows area, and the 6N/7D Doodhpathri plan is the longest option.
