Accommodation: Budget guesthouses in Srinagar's Nigeen area (₹1,500–2,500/night) and simple hotels in Gulmarg/Pahalgam (₹2,000–3,000/night). Transport: Shared taxis and buses — Srinagar to Gulmarg shared taxi ₹400 per person. Food: Street food and local dhabas — ₹500–800 per day. Gondola: Phase 1 only (current fare on the Cable Car Corporation’s portal). This segment covers the essentials without frills. Best for backpackers and students.

The season changes the price
Demand moves hotel and vehicle prices. June and the winter ski weeks are the most expensive, and March, July, August and late November are often cheaper, with less predictable weather. Weekends and festival periods cost more than weekdays. Hotels and houseboats
Accommodation is usually the largest part of the cost, and class matters most. A standard hotel, a deluxe hotel and a luxury resort can differ several times over, and a heritage houseboat can cost as much as a luxury hotel. Transport inside the valley
A private car with a driver is the main land cost, and it depends on the vehicle, the days and the route. A sedan suits a couple, an Innova suits a family and a Tempo Traveller suits a group.
