Are there direct flights from Dubai, Sharjah or Abu Dhabi to Srinagar?

Not on Skyscanner's UAE pages. For each of the three airports it says no airline currently flies direct and that most routes have one or more stops. Its Dubai page gives IndiGo as the airline with the cheapest tickets and around 40 days ahead as the best time to book. Fares are in dirhams, exactly as the site prints them, and they are the lowest it found rather than typical fares.

The site does not name the connecting airport for these routes, so we cannot tell you where you change planes. Ask the airline or us before you pay, because the connection decides when you land. A late arrival changes what the first day of a package can include, so tell us your flight times when you enquire and we fit the plan around them. Do you need a visa to visit Kashmir from the UAE?

Entry rules depend on your passport, and the official source is the Indian e-Visa portal. Its e-Tourist visa comes in three versions: one month (30 days), one year (365 days) and five years. The portal also says foreigners and OCI card holders can complete the e-Arrival card online within 72 hours before arriving, and it points travellers to the Bureau of Immigration website for instructions. Eligibility, the fee and the processing time are on the portal itself; apply only there, carry the approval with your passport, and remember that rules change, so the portal on the day is what counts.

What do other governments advise about Jammu and Kashmir?

Read this before you book. On the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office's India page (checked 4 November 2026), the FCDO advises against all travel to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, naming Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, the city of Srinagar and the Jammu-Srinagar national highway; its exceptions are travel by air to and from the city of Jammu and travel within that city. On insurance, the FCDO says your policy could be invalidated by travel against its advice. The Government of Canada's advisory says to avoid all travel to the Union Territory, citing the unpredictable security situation and a threat of terrorism, militancy, civil unrest and kidnapping. When should you leave the UAE?

Dubai's July heat is the contrast on offer. Wikipedia's Dubai climate normals give the average daily maximum below, set against Srinagar's.

The UAE Ministry of Education's calendar for the coming school year puts the winter break from 14 December 2026 to 3 January 2027 and ends the academic year on 2 July 2027, which opens the summer break for families; your own school may differ. Winter in Srinagar is cold, so read Kashmir in January and Kashmir in December before you choose snow dates, and use the packing list.

What does a Kashmir trip cost for UAE travellers?

A TDI land package gives you deluxe rooms and taxes, breakfast and dinner daily, the Shikara ride and a private vehicle that does the Srinagar airport pickup and drop. Airfare, lunches and entry fees are not included. TDI quotes in rupees, per person, and has not converted to dirhams; use the rate on the day you pay. Flights are priced separately for the same reason, because the UAE fares above are in dirhams.

How many days do you need from the UAE?

Because every route connects, the first and last days are mostly travel. That makes the 4N/5D Classic our shortest suggestion, covering Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Add the 5N/6D Explorer for a final houseboat night, the 5N/6D Gulmarg Stay for a night near the meadows, or the 6N/7D Doodhpathri plan, the longest of the four. If your leave allows a week, use it.
