Which honeymoon places in India suit which months?

The table sets each place beside the months its official tourism source names, then the heat, cold or rain figures to weigh against them. TDI plans trips in Kashmir and Ladakh; for every other place we only report what the tourism sources say. Where two sources differ, the cell says so.

What should a honeymoon package quote spell out?

Two packages with the same headline price can be very different trips. Before you compare, ask each seller to write down:

  • Whether the price is for each traveller or for the couple, and how many travellers it assumes.
  • How many nights you spend at each stop, not only the total.
  • Which hotel or houseboat tier the price assumes, and whether meals are included.
  • Whether transfers and sightseeing are in a private vehicle.
  • What is left out: flights, lunches, entry and ticket fees, and any romantic extras such as a private dinner or a photoshoot.
  • The dates the price is valid for, since rates can change with the season.

TDI prints every package price per person on twin sharing; for a couple, double the figure.

What does a TDI Kashmir honeymoon package include, and what does it cost?

TDI's honeymoon plans are its Kashmir package plans: a couple pays the price for two travellers in each plan's own table. Check the inclusion list on each plan page, and ask about romantic extras when you enquire. These five plans give a couple a houseboat night and a slow pace.

PlanNightsPer person, for two travellersFor the couple
3N/4D Quick Getaway3 nights₹11,950₹23,900
4N/5D Kashmir Classic4 nights₹13,800₹27,600
5N/6D Explorer5 nights₹15,900₹31,800
5N/6D Gulmarg Stay5 nights₹16,300₹32,600
6N/7D Summer Special6 nights₹18,400₹36,800

Each price covers accommodation as per the hotel list, daily breakfast and dinner, a Dal Lake shikara ride, Srinagar airport pickup and drop, a private vehicle for transfers and sightseeing, and all taxes. Airfare, lunches and Gulmarg gondola tickets are not included. Prices are copied from each package's table (checked 6 November 2026), and the tables do not split seasons, so send your dates and ask for the rate that applies.

The full comparison, with where you sleep on each plan and the add-ons you can ask about, is on Kashmir honeymoon packages. To compare every Kashmir plan by days and route, use how to choose a Kashmir tour package; for lower budgets, see Kashmir budget tour packages and the Kashmir trip cost guide.

How many nights does a honeymoon need?

TDI's five Kashmir honeymoon plans run from 3 nights to 6 nights, and our couples page calls four to six nights comfortable, with one rest day. On the 3N/4D and the 4N/5D, Gulmarg and Pahalgam are day trips from Srinagar; the 5N/6D and 6N/7D plans add a night in Pahalgam or Gulmarg. For any other place, ask the seller for nights per stop rather than only the total. Our Kashmir for couples page shows how we pace it.

What does a five-night Kashmir honeymoon look like?

This is a planning shape built on the 5N/6D Explorer, whose page says everything in it is customisable. Hotels, the order of days and extras are agreed when you book.

  1. Arrival day in Srinagar: airport pickup, the Mughal gardens, the Shankaracharya Temple and a 1-hour shikara ride on Dal Lake.
  2. Sonmarg day: a drive of about 3 hours, a pony ride or walk towards Thajiwas Glacier (paid directly), back in Srinagar by evening.
  3. Gulmarg day: a drive of about 1.5 hours and the gondola if it is running, with tickets payable on site, then back to Srinagar.
  4. Pahalgam: a drive of about 2 hours, an evening by the Lidder River and a night in Pahalgam.
  5. Back to Srinagar for the last night on a Dal Lake houseboat; Betaab Valley, Aru Valley or Chandanwari on the way are optional and paid directly.
  6. Departure: breakfast on the houseboat and the transfer to Srinagar airport.

Ask about a candle-light dinner by Dal Lake, a sunset shikara or a photoshoot when you enquire; they are described on our couples page. For a longer plan, read the seven-day honeymoon itinerary and the Kashmir honeymoon guide.

What should you check before you book a Kashmir honeymoon?

  • Safety advisories differ by country and change over time; read the dated list in Is Kashmir safe to visit? before you pay.
  • Which documents you carry, and whether a route needs a permit, is set out in Kashmir and Ladakh permits and ID.
  • The Gulmarg gondola is closed on the 2nd and 4th Monday of every month for preventive maintenance, and its tickets are not in a package price; see Gulmarg gondola ticket booking.
  • Snow is possible from December to March but never promised: nobody can guarantee snow, open roads or running lifts for your dates, so choose a plan that works without it.
  • Flights are not in any package price; how to reach Kashmir covers flights and trains.
  • Read the written quote and our terms and conditions before you pay.

Questions travellers ask

What is a honeymoon package?

A honeymoon package is a trip for two that bundles stays, transfers and sightseeing under one price, often with a romantic touch such as a houseboat night or a private dinner. The price may be per person or for the couple, so ask which. TDI's Kashmir plans are priced per person on twin sharing for two travellers.

Which month is best for a honeymoon package in India?

No month suits every place. Goa Tourism calls October to March very pleasant, Kerala Tourism names October to February for houseboat cruises, and Ladakh Tourism lists June to September for festivals and adventure. For Kashmir, TDI's package pages give April to October for the valleys and December to March for snow in Gulmarg.

How many nights should a honeymoon package be?

Ask for nights per stop, not only the total. TDI's five Kashmir honeymoon plans run from 3 nights to 6 nights, and our couples page calls four to six nights comfortable, with one rest day. Add a night if you want to sleep in Gulmarg or Pahalgam instead of making a day trip.

How much does a Kashmir honeymoon package cost?

TDI's five honeymoon plans cost ₹11,950 to ₹18,400 per person for two travellers on twin sharing, so ₹23,900 to ₹36,800 for the couple (package tables, checked 6 November 2026). Flights, lunches and Gulmarg gondola tickets are extra; ask about romantic extras such as a private dinner when you enquire.

Is a Kashmir honeymoon package priced per person or for the couple?

TDI prints each price per person on twin sharing for two travellers, so the couple pays double. The 3N/4D is ₹11,950 per person, or ₹23,900 for the couple. Whichever seller you ask, get the total for two in writing before you compare.

What does a Kashmir honeymoon package include?

A TDI plan lists the hotel and houseboat nights, daily breakfast and dinner, a Dal Lake shikara ride, Srinagar airport pickup and drop, a private vehicle for transfers and sightseeing, and taxes. Airfare, lunches, Gulmarg gondola tickets and paid-direct trips are not in the price.

Is a houseboat night included in a Kashmir honeymoon package?

Yes. Each of TDI's five honeymoon plans lists a Dal Lake houseboat night. If you want it quiet, ask how many rooms the boat has, and ask about heating and power backup if you travel from November to March.

Will we see snow on a Kashmir honeymoon?

Possibly in winter, never promised. TDI's package pages name December to March for snow in Gulmarg, and Srinagar's January average low is −1.9 °C (IMD 1991-2020). Nobody can promise snow, open roads or running lifts for your dates, so pick a plan that works without it.

Can a honeymoon package be customised?

Yes. A TDI package page says everything in it is customisable: change the pace, add a night or swap a hotel. Tell us your month, the nights you want and a budget per person, and a planner sends a custom itinerary and price.

Do you offer honeymoon packages from Delhi or Mumbai?

TDI's Kashmir plans start with the Srinagar airport pickup, so flights from Delhi, Mumbai or any other city are not included. Our how to reach Kashmir guide covers flights and trains, and the pages for Delhi and Mumbai show routes and package options.
