How do you get from Mumbai to Kashmir?
The quickest way is to fly. Srinagar airport has flights from Mumbai, and a direct service takes about 2.5 to 3 hours in the air. Schedules and fares change by season and airline, so check them when you book. We do not print a fare here, because it moves with the date.

How many days do you need?

Where do we meet you, and when should you go?
Our driver meets you at Srinagar airport arrivals with your name, and the transfer to your houseboat or hotel usually takes 30 to 60 minutes. If you arrive by train or road, tell us where you are staying and we plan the pickup from there; our Srinagar airport taxi page covers early and late flights.

What should you know about roads and weather?
The roads to Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg are tarred and busy, but snow, heavy rain or a landslide can slow or close them, and drive times in any plan are estimates. We check the road on the morning you travel and tell you if the plan must change. Keep the last day in Srinagar free before a flight home. Do I need a permit or special ID for Kashmir?
Indian citizens need an original government photo ID for hotels and checkpoints, but the classic circuit of Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg does not usually need a separate tourist permit.
