Day 1: Arrival in Srinagar
Arrive at Srinagar Airport. Transfer to your houseboat or hotel. Evening Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Overnight in Srinagar.
Day 2: Srinagar to Gulmarg
Drive to Gulmarg. Enjoy the Gulmarg Gondola ride, explore the meadows, and visit the historic St. Mary's Church. Overnight in Gulmarg.
Day 3: Gulmarg to Pahalgam
Drive to Pahalgam via the scenic route. Visit Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Chandanwari. Enjoy horse riding and river rafting. Overnight in Pahalgam.

Why does a Kashmir loop involve so much driving through Srinagar?
Kashmir's hill resorts sit like spokes around Srinagar: Gulmarg to the north-west, Pahalgam to the south-east, Sonmarg to the north-east. There is no loop between them, so every move from one resort to the next passes through or around Srinagar. That is why days three and four of this tour are mostly road, and why the plan below matters.

Is there a better order for the stops?
Yes, if you want less backtracking. Our 5N/6D Kashmir Explorer package uses this shape: Sonmarg as a day trip from Srinagar, Gulmarg as a second day trip, then Pahalgam, and a final night on a houseboat in Srinagar. You trade a night in Gulmarg and Sonmarg for fewer long transfers.

We do not print a fixed price here, because it changes with the vehicle, the season and the stays. The points below are the ones that move it.

What should you know about the season?
- Spring and summer: the meadows are green, the roads are open and hotels fill early in May and June.
- Autumn: clear weather and gold chinar leaves, with cold nights in Gulmarg and Sonmarg.
- Winter: Gulmarg is for snow, Sonmarg can be hard to reach, and chains or road closures can change the plan. Nobody can promise snow or a clear road.

Can you add Ladakh?
