Day 1: Srinagar Arrival and Local Sightseeing
Upon arrival at Srinagar Airport, your taxi will take you for local sightseeing including the famous Mughal Gardens - Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Bagh, and Chashme Shahi. Visit the Shankaracharya Temple and enjoy a relaxing Shikara ride on Dal Lake. Overnight stay in a houseboat or hotel.
Day 2: Gulmarg Excursion
Drive to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers. Enjoy the Gulmarg Gondola ride, one of the highest cable cars in the world. Explore the meadows, visit the golf course, and enjoy snow activities. Return to Srinagar for overnight stay.
Day 3: Pahalgam Visit and Departure
Drive to Pahalgam, the Valley of Shepherds. Visit Betaab Valley, Aru Valley, and Chandanwari. Enjoy horse riding and river rafting. Drive back to Srinagar for departure.

Is three days enough for Kashmir?
It is enough for a first taste, not for the whole Valley. Day three is the long one: Pahalgam is two to three hours from Srinagar each way, so a morning flight on day three does not work with it. Three ways to make the plan fit:
- Book a flight that leaves late on day three, so Pahalgam is not rushed.
- Swap Pahalgam for a shorter plan, such as a second night in Srinagar or a half day at Sonmarg.
- Move to a longer plan. Our 4-day itinerary, the 3N/4D quick getaway and the 2N/3D Srinagar and Gulmarg weekend are the usual alternatives.
If you land in the afternoon, day one loses some sightseeing, and we move the gardens to day three or keep them short.

How is the price worked out?
We do not print a fixed price for the taxi tour here, because it changes with the vehicle, the date and whether stays are included. The points below are the ones that move it.

How should you pace each day?

What should you know about the season?
Spring brings the tulip weeks and blossom, summer is the busiest season, autumn is clear and golden, and winter makes Gulmarg a snow destination. Roads and the gondola depend on the weather, and nobody can promise snow or a clear road. Read Kashmir in April and winter packages for the two extremes.

Which vehicle is included in the package?
The package typically includes a sedan such as a Swift Dzire or Etios. You can upgrade to an SUV or an Innova, or to a Tempo Traveller for a group, at an additional cost. Tell us the number of travellers and bags and we suggest the right one.
Is hotel accommodation included in the tour?
The basic taxi package covers the vehicle, fuel, toll tax and the driver's allowance only. We can add a houseboat or hotel stay on request, or you can compare with a package that includes stays, such as our 3N/4D quick getaway.
Can the itinerary be customised?
Yes. We can change the order of the days, swap Pahalgam for Sonmarg, or start the tour on a different day to match your flight. Tell us your arrival and departure times and the places you want, and we suggest a plan.
