The garden is open to the public from mid-March to late April during the annual Tulip Festival. The exact dates depend on the blooming schedule, which varies based on weather conditions.

How does ticket booking work, step by step?

1. Tell us your travel week, the number of adults and children and whether anyone is a foreign national, because the ticket category differs.
2. We check the current position: whether the garden has announced its dates, whether tickets are sold online, at the gate or both, and whether you must pick a date or a slot.
3. We send a quote with the ticket as a separate line and the plan around it.
4. You confirm, and we book the ticket through the official channel for that year. Keep the ticket and your photo ID with you.
5. We keep a spare morning in case the bloom or the weather moves the visit.

When should you book?

Do not commit to anything that cannot be changed until the garden announces its dates for the year, because the opening follows the bloom and the bloom follows the winter. What if the garden is closed or the bloom is off?

The garden follows the weather. A late spring pushes the bloom back, a warm one brings it forward, and rain or wind can thin the show on a given day. If the bloom shifts by a few days we move the garden to another morning, and if it shifts by a week we talk about changing your dates. The department's ticket terms are separate, so ask us what applies to the ticket you hold before you pay.

What should you carry?
